Hey all,

I've got a few questions about my swordtail. I'm about 83.7% positive she's pregnant, but I'm not sure what to do with the fry once they've been born. Here is my tank, I'm pretty sure it's stocked to the max now;

15 gallon (US) tank:

3 pineapple swords
2 sunset wag platys
7 neon tetra
4 delfax spotted cory

I want to let nature run its course, let the strongest (read: best at hiding) survive while the others get eaten. If too many survive, I'm sure I'll be able to give some away to my friends with tanks.

Here's question one; Will too many babies overload the current beneficial bacteria, starting the nitrate cycle all over again?

Two; What's the incubation time for swordtails? I think I've read it's about a month, and it's probably been a week already.

Thanks a bunch folks,
Peter
