My Soon To Be New Bettas...

I was pipped to the post on Evilbay when it came to one of the bettas I was watching (thanks to Assaye ), so I decided I just had to have this beauty in the end...

I have been itching to set up my 30L cube in the bedroom again and now I have done just that, it's ready for my new boy

I haven't had a betta for too long now so am delighted to be picking this boy up soon

He's described as a line bred HM male. Can anyone shed light on what line bred means please? Thanks!

I think line bred is where one or more of the parents ancesters are related.

I have my eye on another and am SO tempted to set up my biube or the other 30L cube I have for it again I spent most of the night thinking about it

Nothing! I've just gone and bought him

Yes...blame it on the medication if you must (or need for it) but the blube is coming back

This little beauty is coming home to stay and is from the same person as 'Yeti' will come from

That's another name to think about

I adore him and found myself coming back to him like fleas to a camel's armpits

Too good to let slip away, so the Blube is back and being prepared as well

It's the first time I've bought off Ebay and have only done it because I am able to collect the fish rather than have them sent out.

They're here! They're here! lol

I went to pick up my betta boys this morning. I was gutted when the seller told me the original white betta had chewed his tail overnight, but came home with an equally gorgeous boy who's tail is actually smoother on the outline than the original one had, so I am happy.

They've just gone in the tanks so just a couple of pics in-bag for now.

Shasu is REALLY shy! He keeps hiding under moss balls, the filter, the anubias and the heater and that's when I'm not in the room (I can peek through the gap in the door and watch him without him seeing me).

I'm hoping it's just that he needs to get used to his new home but I'd hate for him to get stuck somewhere and die!

I am thinking I might remove the moss balls for now or something, or is it best just to leave him to settle and hope he doesn't get permanently wedged somewhere?

Hi Jen....lovely new fishes you have there! Love the white one How many tanks ya got set up now? Mind you I can't talk...am picking up tank number 6 on thursday....finally got a 'biggun'.....5''x24''x24...just got to find the money to kit it out....ouch!
