OK quick update, mosses seem to love my tank! But, not sure about java fern, or the lovely trident varient I got, just seems to struggle a little... We shall see.

OK I'm liking how it looks, cant wait to get the final bit of knotty wood in the other corner, and possibly remove, or cut back, the plastic plant (the bristlenose seems to love it). Trying an experiment with Vallis soon, and will have some Anubias if I can get hold of some!

Man this peacock moss is going to rival my own java moss for growth! It's sprining up like crazy!

Trident Java fern, I really hope these grow, I love how they look...

Trimmed moss and added sand... need to get hold of some trumpet snails I think...

Hmmm am tempted to change that background to black now....

OK have added a few trumpet snails to keep the added sand depth turned over, and decided to boost my shoal of white clouds to 15! 8 white clouds for £10... couldn't resist!

Cheers figured it might be easier to do it this way!

Just have to have patience now... and devise a plan to hide the powerhead, without use of the plastic plant which can then be removed... I have more wood soaking, lol.

TBH i wouldn't bother hiding it... but thats just me... it would seem a bit odd to have a HUGE clump of plants in the corner for apparently no reason....

Good point ;p plus it would make maintainance a bit easier (these 18" deep tanks are a sod!)...

But I have a nice tight knotty piece to go in the back corner... Just need to find some more java fern variants

Mind you... what I could do with a tank like that...

The mission (in the future - and I have permission of the Mrs too ) is to install an 8x4x4 (or 9x3x3 as I've see one for sale) aquarium, as a giant tropical aquarium (so no big stuf, just hundreds of the little chaps ...

yes, yes it does... and its in my school's science block! used to have arrowanas... now has 50 neon tetras, 20 endlers, 10 panda cories, 3 bristlenose plecs, 15 platies and 8 kuhli loaches.... EXRTEMELY heavily planted and running TWO Co2 systems (turned down to half) and for a filter... well, it has a 5000l/h sump and two TT EX1200's

i'll see if i can persuade the school... ATM the tank is at risk of falling through the floor the ceiling underneath is bowing under its weight... i will move it downstairs in a while.... just when i can persuade the head to help me lol!!!

I love this tank. Wanted to do something like that for ages. I love themed tanks, but I want my main to be the 'serious' aha.
