Very nice tank noobie! I love mollies myself and until recently had a tank full of them and mollie fry of all sizes and colors. It is true that mollies are a brackish fish, but I have yet to see them sold in brackish water. I was recently told that mollies can live for quite a while in salt water as well, if acclimated properly. They are great looking and hardy as well, kind of what I like to think of myself as sometimes!
