so, I have a pvc manifold I assembled , between my pump, and the tanks, this consists of 3 ball valves , so I can divert the water to tanks in 3 different parts of the house, by separate lines... I'm sure I used standard pvc weld to assemble it, but one of the valves has loosened... in theory, this should be strong enough to put a control valve on the end, and be able to close it completely with my adjustable stall diaphragm pump, but I currently just use an open "J" hook on the tank end, to hang the hose on each tank, and have switch easily placed to turn it on or off.. so, no more resistance than pumping the water up to the line running above the ceiling... this makes me question the glue... it should not be dissolving with the RO... so I have to assume I had a senior moment when assembling it, and didn't get it properly or correctly glued... topic thoughts... any glue of this type, should be ok for aquarium use, as far as fish safety... I always worry about carryover to the fish environment (I don't super glue anything in the tank, for this reason... probably an unfounded concern, as long as proper water changes are performed )...
what say you guys, ( and gals )???
