Ok, Hi everyone,
I havent really been in this section much as ispend most of my time in the marine section.

So here goes with my first tank.
This is my 40 gallon, its my longest running tank and the best established.

And finally my 130 gallon setup.
This is the newest tank and as you will see, its still heavily under construction. Live rock is about half way through aquascaping but its working well.

Sorry for so many pics in 1 post, had lots to show, thanks for viewing them for those of you that got to the end :*)

Those tanks are amazing!! I am always blown away by those of you who keep marine tanks, the work definately pays off

Impressive toadstool in the first tank Navarre!! That thing is huge. I love the middle rock in the 130g. Aquascaping is looking good in that badboy, keep it up ;)

Also love your flame and lemonpeel angels. (That is a lemonpeel right?)

I'm getting the itch to start my 29g now. I'm going to drill it. Will probably post continuous pics of the progress or something fun like that. Your tanks make me want more room!!!! Awesome job.

This is an awesome pic, one of the best i've seen. I love it!! Just needs a background to hide the plumbing/electrical. :p

Thanks for the kind comments. :*)
Yeah the leather mushroom is huge. Its beginning to become an issue as well as it snow starving the other corals of light :grr:

Yeah tahts a lemonpeel angel. A real stunning fish, out of all the dwarf angels though this is the one that nips on polyps :grr:  Lovely fish but he might be heading for the local shop soon if he doesnt behave.

Tahnks for the comment on the aquascaping. That rock colum in the center is going ot be what the rest of the tank is designed around. Im trying to ecape the "reefwall" look and try from some depth to the tank. Having this sort of semi atoll is a little bit different to how many approach aquascpaing.. ON this columb im placing my acroporas, and other high light loving corals. These will hopfully branch out fromthe rock and give a nice effect.

As soon as i can afford more live rock i will hide the plumbing  And i am looking for a backgruond but i cant find a 2ft high background that will fit the tank :/ :*) I want a black background @ 2ft depth. Everyone around here used ot stock it but now it seems they dont :dunno:

If this set of photos helps just 1 person to try and jump into keeping marines then i will be very happy. If you have a spare tank then i strongly urge anyone to give it a whirl.

Well, your pics have pushed me a bit further in the right direction!!! Thanks for the advice yesterday. I'll be looking at costs for equipment to get that spare tank set up as a marine today!!! Probably take a few months for me to get everything I need, but I'm sure it'll be worth it judging by your fantastic tanks!!
:kewlpics:

Yes your aquascaping skills are 1337 indeed :D

I tire of the wall of rock type too. I like your designs they just seem more natural.

BTW, the way you floated those mangroves.... is that polystyrene? So obvious but so ingenious  I'll be "borrowing" that idea.

Thanks again for the kind words.
If anyone wishes to know more about marine setups then there are some very knowledgable people on the marine section, they are freidnly too so its a double bonus :p
If anyone has questions about any of the fish/inverts/setups of my tanks i am more than happy to give advice etc.

Yes Stryker, that is polystyrene
I would like to say it was my idea but alas i saw it in a persons tank and "stole" the idea also :p
Works well though ;)

Your wish is my command:

2ft High Black Background in the UK!!!

I have the same one for my 2ft cube.

Very nice tanks by the way, I always like to look at marine tanks although I often don't understand exactly what's going on. lol I am a f/w girly!

Thanks for the link. I will give my local shops one more try first :D
If i get no luck then mail order it is :p
