My Rams Laid Eggs

do i need to buy a small tank that fits in my big tank? some advice please they are on the bog wood and the ram is over them

Just leave well alone! the rams will do everything needed, they are excellent parents!. They will guard the eggs by taking it in turns and also guard the fry if they hatch! Dont be too upset if they eat the eggs. You may find they take half a dozen or so spawns before they get the hang of it!

thanks gilli ye i read up a bit about the eggs etc, once they hatch am i best gettin one of the tanks to fit in my tank or just buy a small tank and filter and put them in it?

Like I said no need to move them anywhere - just leave them in the tank. The parents will protect them and even move them around to different hiding places while they cant swim. Once they are free swimming they will chaperone them around and no one will dare try to get them or the parents will pulverize them!

Actually the parents will feed them, they will lead them around the tank to food and chew up flakes and spit themout for them.

+ yup, you can always help the parents out by feeding some live baby brine shrimp very easy to culture

thanks for the replys think the rams have eat some eggs but theres still a good number there about 30 or 30+, i have 4 rams in the tank gonna put a net over the intake in the tank for when the eggs hatch the fry dont get sucked up in the intake, and gonna try and get a QT to stick the 2 rams and fry in till they grow a bit i think
