They say a picture is worth a thousand words....Since I can describe my tank in more than a thousand words, I made a video instead :p :p :p :p :p There are much better tanks than mine on this site, i'll admit, but since this is my first, its my pride and joy! Ignore the random camera button/moving clicking noises and my frustrated sighs in the background  Enjoy! Comments are appreciated~

I think it looks great! All of your fish look really healthy and happy :good: Can I just ask, how did you get your kuhli loaches to be so tame? Yours are coming out to the front of the tank and everything! All mine seem to do is hide in a plant  Is there anything I can do to make them a bit more tame? Thankyou :D

Thank you! Technically, there should be no reason my kuhlis are so spontanuous, because they like to be in large groups to feel secure. Since this is a "family" tank and "everyone has a say" I was limited to only two baby kuhlis

If you want your kuhli to be more spontanuous like my Leo and Lily, give them lots and lots and lots and lots of hiding spaces. Ironically, the more hiding space you'll have, the more out in the open they'll be. Also, if you're stock permits it, get your Kuhli a girlfriend/boyfriend, girl Kuhlis live up to 10 years, and to condemn a kuhli to loneliness is cruel, so getting them at least a buddy will do for now.! That was my excuse to get Leo his girlfriend Lily, whose swimming in the video. "But Mom, they live up to 10 years!!! He needs girlfriend to give him company! He'd be lonely and sad..Do you want him to be sad mom? Do you? HAVE YOU NO SOUL, WOMAN?!" :p When I move out, i'll be upgrade my tank to maybe/at least 30 gallons so I can get Leo and Lily some more friends...maybe some black kuhli loaches so i can tell them apart :shifty:

Whoops! Never mind, just read your stock. Disregard what I said. But if the tank is big enough, at least make it 4-3 kuhlis. I really wish I could add more kuhlis... "Dear Santa.." :shifty:

Thankyou for the advice, I shall see if my LFS has any more next week!

Also, what kind of pleco do you have? Some get mighty large..Also, might want to consider upping your neons to at least six. If any schooling fish is not with at least 6 of its kind, they get stressed. Stress leads to illnesses like ich, and ich almost killed Leo and Lily, and it was a stressful and depressing time of my life. And it was my neons, who intorduced the ick into the tank :-( I would hate to see such a beautiful tank with such beautiful kuhlis be decimated by disease...If you have any questions, you should ask other members about your stock  Good luck!!!! :fun:

Here's a video of Leo and Lily coming out of their tunnel of love, or "Loach Hole" as I call it. Its just a depression i made underneath the back edge of my driftwood, and the kuhlis expanded the cave by themselves. They like to poke their heads out, especially if there's a bloodworm treat for them :shifty: Ignore my cockatiel tweeting in the background and my sniffling, I have a cold :S

I actually had 10 neons, but they brought in ich, which killed the majority of them and I am now left with these three. I do plan on getting more but just have not been to my LFS recently :/ I have common plecos, which unfortunatley, came with the tank (It's second hand) as did the hoplo catfish. They are only small atm, but when they get too big, my LFS said they will take them off my hands :)

Ok, so I have an idea for you...I'll PM you, we're getting a tad off topic :p

Nice tank! What kind of kuhlis are those? And you can keep guppies kuhlis and serpaes together? Good to know....

Just regular Pangio kuhli in striped color morph, they're small 'cause they're still babies
As far as I know, Serpaes are aggressive and will probably nip the long flowy fins of the guppies

Oh! I'm soo mad at my myself for not having my camera with me! But the cutest thing just happened!!!!!!!! So I feed my fish some frozen bloodworm, and my two loaches pulled a Disney stunt! You know that scene in the Lady and the Tramp where they're eating the same spaghetti strand until they kiss? That just happened with Leo and Lily! So mad I didn't have my camera ready  By the time it was, Leo had pulled it out of Lily's mouth
