Some sites say two days, but in the uk have to change ours every six weeks.
But I only use black carbon for removing meds.

So what do you filter with? I use a sponge filter in my betta's tank. I guess I was basically throwing the Triple Sulfa out the window keeping the carbon in. Thanks for the help.

If it's really old carbon it shouldn't remove the meds.
But it best to remove it as it only has a period before it starts to release the chemicals back in the tank.
