The first one is my semi-completed 55 gallon, co2 injected, with an invasive dwarf sag problem. The second is intended for discus, and it is a 92 gallon corner tank (trigon 360 I got from someone who served in England). The second tank is low tech, and I am gradually building on the techy side of things as I go. It currently houses cory cats, SAEs, ghost shrimp that are being eaten as we speak, a large angel, 3 clown loaches, 3 cribs, and about four dwarf bristlenose catish. I intent to add some striped apple snails, some kind of schooling fish, and 4-6 discus (starting at at least 2.5 inches). Lighting is currently only 60 watts, only half of which is T8 (the other is standard flourescent. I have grown red mangroves from bulbs. The rest is basically what is growing out from my other tank. The substrate is play sand. I am rigging filtration right now, but I am in process of purchasing a fluval FX five. I dose flourish comprehensive, add a little calcium with the equilibrium after water changes with 100 percent R/O H2O. I have flourish excel on order, and I will be looking to upgrade lighting and go with a liquid carbon appraoch before deciding on another automated co 2 system. The two standar 15 watt florescents, along with the 30 watt T8, will be supplemented, most likely with a 70 watt clip on halide. That would make 130 total watts on 90 gallons, so I may run the halid only for about 6 hours a day before deciding on going beyond the liquid carbon phase. Anyway, feedback is always appreciated, as theese are my first two planted tanks:
