Hi, I have an aquastart 500 and I am going to half it and have 1 betta on each side.

Now i want this tank to actually look good for once so I have been looking at plants on a certain website, and I have come up with an idea of what I want. I was thinking of some dwarf hairgrass as a foreground plant to form a carpet, some hairgrass (not dwarf) as a mid ground plant to compliment the dwarf hairgrass and some large ambulia as a background plant.

I was also thinking of having a coconut cave with java moss attached to it, and here's the big idea, I'm going to silicone it to the corner of the tank midway up.

So if any of those plants are bad or you could suggest some better ones that would be great.

Thanks in advance!

your going to need a good fert and CO2 routine going to get it going properly...and some decent light too...its quite a demanding plant IME

Ok, i have been looking on java plants and I am going to go with these plants, it is a collection put together by java.

Also I am going to buy a coconut cave with java moss attached to it, and some bamboo sticks with java moss attached to them.

If you have any other suggestions for my planted betta tank please tell me.
Thanks in advance
Joe
