one thing im still thinking of how to do is the 50% water change, i mean do i just use a jug to fill up and dechlorine the jugs one at a time, or get a huge bin full of water n chlorine the lot that way ????

jake

Put dechlorinater in the bucket and then use a jug to put the water in the aquarium...

Wow! That looks great Jake! Are those some of my little plantlets I see there?! That all looks amazing now but when you get the CO2 and Ferts in its going to really take off and totally fill up your tank. Which IMO is great! and exactly what I aim for, heavily planted. Then you'll be able to pass on your cuttings to others! Good luck with it.

Dave.

yep yours have pride of place near the front.

when i go to the lfs i ask for fast growning, but i aint got a clue what i bought ha ha

think i mite order some quick growing plants from somewhere.

Hi Jake,

I have just seen this thread for the first time and it is nice to actually see what we have been talking about. That is an excellent job with the planting. If your Hydrocotyle leucocephala is like mine it will grow at an unbelievable rate. I see it is already pearling quite nicely.

Nice one, Dave.

Hydrocotyle leucocephala <which ones that hahahahah-no seriously????

i wish i had the money to do that, infact i wish i had my own place( it might help with nmatter lol) any way very well done, thats a great insperation to me it really makes me wanna start a big planted tank no matter how much it will cost, just by looking at your it shows me it will be worth it in the end.

great job.

tbh its not been to expensive to do, i'd say well under £200 for the lot inc tank and filter lol get looking in the bargins

hope everything drops back to normal, i had wierd readings on my tests last night so 'ive off the co2 till i get in tonight, then it will drop right down, now i have the cutoff valve im ok for co2 now, i can off it and on when i need to

thinking i need some more quick growing plants though
