Last one you can see his bubble nest in the top left corner

:) Lovely little fishy! Bt he loves all those plants, wish I were more green fingered - i can only grow the most basic plants for some reason!

Gorgeous PK......I just love their attitudes and they just ooze it the way they pose!!!!!

Wow, NottsFishy that's a beautiful fish and tank!
Would you mind telling me the name of that lovely, low plant with the tiny, long-stemmed leaves showing in the shot of your plakat by the flowerpot?
And whether it stays fairly low?
I don't recall ever seeing it before but I'm not much up on plants, which is annoying.
If I can track some down, I'd rather like to try putting some of that in one of the next tanks I do or redo.
It's hard to be a herbilliterate...
And what about that plant shown especially well in the shot above that, which somehow looks rather like string beans?
Boy, you've found cool plants as well as fish.
Wish you'd included a whole-tank shot or two - it looks amazing.

nice fish, but is that a dead fish in the background of the first pic?

Also betta's done tend to get on well guppies.

As for the plants I'm pmsl as all bar on plat I've seen are all fakes so i doubt their grow to fast :)

Hi, helterskelter,
if what you were saying was that the plants there were all fakes, does that mean they weren't modelled on real ones, as they usually do seem to be?
Because if there is a real plant that looks like that and will grow in a moderate light, soft water type of environment, I'd like to know what it is.
If it's something mythical, I'd like to know this as well.
So if you know this, I'd really appreciate the info.

If you're referring to the guppy, he does look a bit clampy, and I know mine look like that sometimes when they're peeved at not being able to harass another guppy.
I have them scattered about in different tanks now, as they tend to wear each other to a frazzle when kept together.
I've got 'feeder' guppy/endler crosses (one per tank only) in with some of my bettas, and it really depends on the betta whether it works or not.
The wild-type guppies/endlers with the smaller tails don't really resemble bettas or seem to trigger the problems which might be expected with the large-tailed fancy-type guppies.
Although my more heavily-finned bettas, (half moon/super delta types,) seem not only better tempered than, say the notoriously crabby crowntails, (both of my crowntails are living alone) but know they have no chance of catching any other fish and really don't seem to try.
And if there's heavy planting/cover, there aren't the same issues as might arise in a tank with no privacy.
I presume that if there were problems in this case that NottsFishy would shift the guppy/guppies out, although I expect we'll find that out quite soon.
One of the cool things about bettas is that they do have such very different personalities...

Sadly that low plant is plastic it was in a pack with two smaller examples that are made by the same guys that do biorbs also the one in the background is plastic i only have three live plants in there
2 hygrophilia and 1 rotala as these i have been told are good plants that can help keep down algae lol.
Thanks for the comments :good:

Sadly it is a dead fish it had died while i was out and i didnt notice it till after i had took the photo  .
He doesnt live with the guppies anymore as i got him a nice little tank to play in by himself as missus started complainin she had no babies in there anymore i still dont know where they went lol :shifty:

Ye couple of guppies do look slightly stressed could be the betta or possibly water quality.

As for Syphoniera i just cant be bothered in the open forum for this sort of comments, no point to it.
