My Oscar's Hurt Himself

I think....

He's got a lil white patch on his side, almost like some of his colour has 'rubbed' off so i can only assume he's smacked something while having a chase of the plec. I was very careful putting the tank together to avoid anything remotely sharp and cant find what he's done it on. I dont think its too bad (i'm paranoid!) but what should I do? Was thinking about a bit of melafix to help it heal?

if it's just a little scrape, it'll be fine healing on it's own. you can add some stuff if you want, but you don't need it.

you could use Melafix, but i would go with water changes,,,they work magic,he`ll be back to normal in no time

I did a small water change last night of about 15% as I was a bit pushed for time. I usually do about 30-40% midweek and a 40-50% on a weekend with a good gravel clean. Should I try and add some small ones in aswell this week?

as long as you keep the water in tip top condition he'll be fine, dont over do the water changes though, theres really no need! just keep up with your normal ones, that sounds fine!

waterchanges work wonders if you keep on top
when mine looked like this<below>i did every other day 250litre waterchanges and within a week all was great

that was a vieja bifa who beat living $%$% out off both oscars, but they healed 100% with only waterchanges
