Here is my old tank with sand, i was known as tetraking when i first posted this.

How do you keep your sand so clean. Mine never looks like that.

How do you keep your sand so clean. Mine never looks like that.

Just use a very fine white net and move it around just above the sand,with the net you should create a gentle current that lifts the dirt up from the sand and then you collect it in the net , can be difficult to clean around the plants but i just got an smaller net which could be moved around easier

Sand is easier to keep clean than gravel imo.
