My Newest Boy *pictures Just Added*

Well I went to my lfs today and well to my surprise, they had halfmoons, crowntails, veiltails and Imbellis!
So the imbellises were on sale so I bought the nicest male and He is A-D-O-R-Aa-B-L-E
I have never had one, so you can imagine my excitement.
He is in a new small tank, and I am hoping to maybe move him somewhere else, but I decorated it nicely!
Wanted one of the halfmoons, but I didn't have enough... So depressing.
Anyways couldnt pick any of the CT males so I just chose him. He is officially named Galileo, and he is Blueish-clackish-reddish
Lovely.

I cant wait to show you... I have only ever had CTs and VTs, but he is a lot calmer and is enjoying his new environment.Hope to get a doubletail next time I visit the pet store, and if I go back to my lfs with more money... maybe they MIGHT have the HMs still. Then I would buy one. But I only had 10 dollars... So no luck

I will try to get better ones, but you get the idea Red fins, white blue tips and blue lines on tail. With a black body w/ blue tint.

You can look there. Pretty much the imbellis has different body shape and such. But I see what you mean. They do mostly look the same.

looks kinda of like a plakat to me, too stocky to be imbellis. imbellis has a thinner body shape and more iridescence with red fins.

He really doesn't look like an imbellis to me... his body is not thin enough and they usually have a lot more metallic turquoise on them... I'm 90% sure he's just a plakat splendens. The pet store or their supplier was probably confused. Not that it makes him any less beautiful, and plakats have awesome personalities too.

Maybe, but I dont think so.. They are pretty good with telling fish apart at my lfs
You might be right though. About the iridescense thing... He is pretty sheeny. I mean he has turqoise on his body that you just catnt really see in the picture, because it isnt a very good camers lol
He is pretty stocky, though I looked at imbellis pics and he looked right. D:

Did quite abit of research and I'm sorry to say you have a Plakat....
He's deff not a imbellis he's too stocky where imbellis are slimer

Id say Plakat and not Imbellis, the fish looks too stocky where if you look at Imbellis they are far more slim and elongated.
