She's gorgeous    so glad she arrived ok.

shes so active bless her, and she sticks out in my tank like a sore thumb lol

yeah all safe and sound :hyper:

she has been named serenity :good: :hyper:

What a beauty! Love the name serenity I really can't wait till I get my newly set up 10 Gallon tank cycled and right so that I can get my first betta. Still deciding whether to go for 3 or 4 females or a male yet!

the other girls chased her a bit but shes settling in ok now, plenty of plants to hide in

still gigglin to myself about dave biting my dog lolol

That's a great name......I love it :good:

Came back for another look at Serenity and noticed the substrate! It looks great What is it?

its a little dirty, i was in the process of hoovering my tank lol

its black sand, which IMO is better than gravel as it doesnt allow nasty things to live under it as its anaerobic (spelling)

She looks lovely! And the black sand must really bring out her color very well.

If you're going for a 10 gal. I'd say go for 6 females instead of just 4, unless you plan on dividing it and doing a soroity of 4 on one side and a male on the other.

thats half the reason i have black sand

1. it looks natural
2. my fish stand out against its dark colour
3. no nasties living under the sand

altho it is an ass to clean lol

spesh when my goby has been at my plants

perhaps i should hook up my co2 machine, but i really carnt be arsed lol
