My new tank

Just got my new tank last week. Wanted to try using real plants, so here's my first attempt at aquascaping.

Obviously the plants have still to grow. I've got my old filter in the tank to help the new one along a bit.

Any ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated. Plant suggestions too would help. Its a 30g.
