So it's only a 21 gal... to you guys it's probably tiny but this is a MAJOR victory with my parents who spend half their lives cracking up about my severe MTS. It's the biggest tank I've ever owned.

This was what it looked like when I got it in place. You better believe I was jumping around with glee - look what i got my hands on this time WOOT!!! type of thing.

The glare on the glass in all these photos is pretty bad but I took a lot that were completely impossible to see so at least I got some. This is the whole tank:

This is a partial shot of it that I really like - picked that driftwood up halfway up the hill and I love it!

My big black sailfin molly - the ruler of the tank! Luv U Velvet - gorgeous boy. It's a closeup on the plants as well.

Another shot of the planted part. I'm planning to put in a lot more plants, at the moment it's just a bit of hydrilla I had lying around and a narrow leaf anubias, pretty sure it's afzelli. The clip in the photo is just holding some shreds of pork I put in for the fish.

Very Nice Laura! My tanks never look that good ( nott hat good at aquascaping!). Im in love with your tank, now i want a 21 g( will prolly get a used one soon for VERY cheap). Keep up with the pic's, you can NEVER have to many of those.

oh its nice!, im a noob to this game so you'll see me in most of the pics today getting ideas for my tank after it has cycled.

but yeah anyways nice tank!

Nice start there :) thought about adding a black background? Would help bring more focus into the tank rather then through it :)

Yeah, i can't get anything better so I think I'll just use black or steel grey cardboard. It's not in a very nice spot (outside on the veranda) but I really didn't want to wait until we move which could be another six months.

Cool, I have always wanted a tank outside... Is it heated? Are you living a place with a warm climate?

EDIT:
Just realized you are in Australia.

Yeah, it's sweet, I can hide fish in containers all over the place and my parents never realise they have fish in them! The other thing is the feral cane toads everywhere. They are disgusting but their tadpoles are the easiest way of cycling filters I know. Like anything living they produce ammonia, but they are used to living in tiny crowded puddles and so are very tolerant of high concentrations. Pack a tank with those and wham! No messing around with liquid ammonia or panicking about what you're exposing your fish to.
