My New Tank

heres a few pics of my new tank. well not 100% new. it has been used for the last few weeks to raise my baby apple snails but i felt the need to seperate my livebearers from my gouramis as i have 6 pregnant females (swords, mollies and platys) at the moment and not many would survive if i left them in my main tank. so i set this one up.

the left corner looks a little green in the pics but i think its from all the plants. it doesnt look green to the naked eye.

tis just a start. have bulked it up a bit to provide plenty of coverage for the bubs. need to get a few more plants and like my main tank, a background, but i kinda like it

its a custom made 3 1/2 foot tank but as you can see its slightly lower than most. it holds 100L or 26 us gallons

in there i have elodea, wisteria, banana plants, some kind of fern (not java) and purple stracta. i tried to choose ones where little bubs can hide. plus ive put in a bunch of different little ornaments etc that will provide a space for fry that any of the bigger ones cant get into

i agree the bowls look a little weird but they are growing on me. the bottom of the tank isnt heavily gravelled (on advice from a breeder) and there was nowhere to anchor the plants so i filled up a couple of little bowls with stones to hold the plants there
