i am sooo exited!!! this is my new sorority tank!!!

it used to be my red eared sliders tank but they both needed to go in the pond :good: they are alot more happy!!

have no clue how many gallons it is...i will find out...

the tank is a marineland ...something... oviously i dont know much about it! lol

but they love it!! in my 55 gallon comunity i couldnt control what they ate or how much...and i ended up loosing the top female...also my favorite..she was Gabrielle a PK , she had extreme bloat but swam fine..added onto that the stress of pregnantcy... :rip: rest in peace girl...i will always remember you...

so here are the pictures!! not sure if the DT is a girl.... think sooo... she has an ovispot and dosent flare alot...

coments appreciated (and wanted lol) on tank, fish, and plants( cant wait for them to grow some more!!)

Looking good! I love the jutting rocks, it makes it look so natural! I wish I could do this.

I think it's great

lookin really nice! would love to see the plants grow as well..or maybe add more plants.. :shifty:

how many females are in there?

9 beautiful girls!!! also 1 synodontis schall, and 1 apple snail

...i wish i did have more plants to add, mabey when i get more money!!

ok this is my firs sorority tank...dont even know if i am spelling it right lol

but i added in some rice seeds so they will have some cover soon. also anybody know if calcium oxalate hurts fish? i know it can kill humans. but it is in plants in the family of Araceae and i was worried of the fish nibbleing and dieing....

i was going to add typhonodorum lindleyanum, to the tank untill it was too big but i am realy nervous!! also i am worried about the snail eating dead aroid material? could that hurt him?

i know that Anubias and Crypts are aroids but there calcium oxalate concentration is not as much i believe....

any clue??

-also are all the fish supposed to stare in one direction? like robots?

My mystery snails (siblings to your snail I believe) don't touch my plants at all. I wouldn't worry too much. I have both crypts and anubias.

They are in the same family (Pomacea). The names are often interchanged.

that one of my snails? he looks good and happy.

yes...he is happy!! he loves eating algea wafers and i give him peas too.

his sibling is in my 55 with 2 other snails, and his shell is darker for some reason?
i think it might be algea idk.

but he is happy too!! always on the move!!

shell is darker because he is a black mystery snail, mom was a black mystery.
they love pea, there also fans of blanched zucchini as i recently discovered. also you might want to get some cuttle bone as it will help all your snails shells stay strong. it will float for a few days but it should sink and the snails will munch on it and the bettas will not bother it.
in the larger tank they should start to get bigger too.
