I rescued this fish from lfs he was there for 3 months getting beat up by African cichlids. It was a 40 gal over stocked. This fish had not placeto hide.

I was getting some photos of her and in this one I could see what looked like maybe hole in head. I don't know this poor fish was stressed at the store.

That's what it looks like to me, too. Though honestly, some of it might clear up simply by being in a cleaner, less stressful environment now that you've got him.

He's a cutie! I'm glad you rescued him, haha. He doesn't look like an African really, any ideas what he is?

Here is the topic about what she might be.

I think the clean water and good food will clear it up I hope.

Thats what it looks like to me my oscar gets it once in awhile. It should clear up now that it will be in your tank. I suggest keeing your nitrates low for about a week (10 to 20 would be ideal) and make sure it had a good diet and it should clear up in a week or two.

Thanks. I was going to do a wc twice a week to help the fins heal up too.
