jees paul that gardens a disgrace

look forward to watching the progress and seeing the finished item

yeh your right up date time.

I'ved been digging solid for 2 days now so I'ved got quite alot done and filled 2 skips by me self!

I'ved got most of it down to a 4ft depth so once the middle wall comes out I want that area and a few feet aorund it down to about 4.5ft.

I'll post up some pics tomorrow after work.

Get a move on paul :)

Hope your feet are ok after ALL THE DIGGING :hey:

My feet are fine thanks so far, it's the rest of me thats very very sore!

any ways now 4ft under. jus need to get the old back all out and some of the base still then the hole is pretty much done after I'ved plumbed it.

that is a dam nice looking hole you got there. :) I am doing some renovating of my pond right now to. There is nothing like a huge hole in the back yard right as rainy season is about to hit. :D

What is your plan I assume you are cementing. Are you going to chicken wire or cinder block, or something else all together?

I do hope it doesn't rain ,it will take ages to bail it out, we need more pictures :)

feet ones :hey:

My dad didn't want a concrete pond as, as you can see before we had a concrete pond and it leaked badly so we put a fibreglass preformed in it, our other pond in concrete and leaked so now had a liner, so why do concrete only to probable liner it later down the line! So as we can't afford to have it fibreglassed. we'll be lining it. Filtration wise there will be a single vortex as a prefilter with brushes in which then gets pumped in a Bubble bead filter.

bit more progress happened whilst I was at work today. Dad got the old back wall out so now looks a little like...

Still got to take the old base off the sides and widen it there abit but the holes pretty much done now apart from maybe taken it down a bit more in the middle.

Oh Cat, you know i love it when you talk feet...

Just thought hope they aren't your dads

anyway what size liner you using?

Glad you enjoyed them.

liner will be about 24x14ft i reakon. Haven't properly worked it out yet. I can just cut it 1 day at work easily so not too worried about that right now.

I'm need to try and gain some width in places though.

that looks like its gonna be a nice pond.... im really tempted to do one that big,,,,
