it is hard but it runs very smooth.

Eh, I bought a cheap mouse once 'cause I thought mine was broken (turns out it was just cluttered with gunk inside) and it didn't run smooth at all >.< It didn't have a spinny wheel in the middle either. You don't realize how useful that thing is until you don't have one anymore!

Also, if you want to buy one you can go on thinkgeek.com and they sell a mouse with a liquidy thing in back with either a fake fish or a tiny duck in it, depending on preference.
