My New Map Turtle, Norris!

Meet Norris, my new Map Turtle, spent an arm and leg on him and his UVB/Heat lamp today, I cant quite get the basking spot right though, im worried its (a) not big enough and (b) to hard to get on!

Also how log do you leave the light on for? I was planning turning it off at my bed time then back on at breakfast?

Keep the light on for about 12-14 hours. I bought a UVB strip light, reflector,power unit and basking light bulbs and lead for about £50.00. I did it this way as the uvb light covered the whole tank and the basking light was easier to place.
