My New Large Tank

Heya Tizer,

I used water-based blackboard paint for my background on t'other tank, two coats worked fine

This new tank i can just about manage to use a small roller (behind a radiator roller) to apply the paint

Saves me having to skidoo the stand/tank out (with two helpers doing me a favour and their free time running out, i had no choice but to somehow get to do the painting done at a latter time)

I fully understand what you mean about the stand, i think it will look darn nice, not to mention easy to wipe n keep clean

I tell you what i have made in several of my previous homes, solid worktops in the kitchen from blockboard, then diagonal tiled tops, always looked nice, burgundy was my fav, but the most expensive colour if i rem right due to the copper content (sure that's what tile supplier said)

Anyways, yeah save for opti ;) you will be amazed at the difference

What is the optiwhite front?

Hiya,

Forgot our american cousins

I think off top my head it's called somert like starfire or saphyre ??

It's a lower iron rated glass, really leaves almost no green tint when you view through it, especially at an angle in aquarium usage, really looks clear as you look through it, especially as the rear of the tank's not blacked out yet and the emulsion wallpaint is a cream colour

Be danged if i can even google the north american trade name lol

Tony

ps: linky with main uk branded glass co ...........

Thanks. :D

Don't worry about forgetting about us in the U.S. Normally I can translate all your "English" language stuff into our "Americanlish" language. Very rarely do I come across something that I don't fully get. The last one was a few months ago, where I misinterpreted the term "chemist". I didn't know that meant "pharmacist".
