I used water-based blackboard paint for my background on t'other tank, two coats worked fine
This new tank i can just about manage to use a small roller (behind a radiator roller) to apply the paint
Saves me having to skidoo the stand/tank out (with two helpers doing me a favour and their free time running out, i had no choice but to somehow get to do the painting done at a latter time)
I fully understand what you mean about the stand, i think it will look darn nice, not to mention easy to wipe n keep clean
I tell you what i have made in several of my previous homes, solid worktops in the kitchen from blockboard, then diagonal tiled tops, always looked nice, burgundy was my fav, but the most expensive colour if i rem right due to the copper content (sure that's what tile supplier said)
Anyways, yeah save for opti
