My New Freshwater Pipefish

I just got back from my lfs with 3 what i believe to be African freshwater pipe-fish (Enneacampus ansorgii) I also got one electric blue ram. So my new pipe-fish are in a slightly brackish tank for now but i plan to slowly ween them off of it. The employees said that these fish are eating well and i even saw them eat. They are eating frozen brine shrimp !!!! I hope you enjoy them as much as i do

yeah you are correct!! definitely pipefish!! weird looking creatures but endearing all the same. that is great that you have them eating frozen food. i was advised against getting them as i was told i would need a continuous supply of micro live foods because they would not accept frozen!! it would seem i have been misled!!

your discus tank is great too. lovely fish! is that a traffic cone??? lol.

where is the ram going?? keep us updated on the pipefish!!

Thanks , my ram is in my 55 with the discus. I would have gotton 2 but I did not have the money for 2 rams and the three pipefish. If you live in Massachusetts I can tell you were to get the pipefish. Thanks, mark

thanks mark! i am hoping to start a new species set-up after christmas. i was going to do a dwarf puffer but your pipefish might well have changed my mind!! i'll keep you posted!!
