Took a quick picture of the dwarf puffer I got today... little side story.

He was the only dwarf puffer left in the tank, and was in the tank (probably about 12 gallons) with around.. 8-ish senegal birchirs roughly 4-5 inches long.. now him being only half an inch or so, was a bite sized morsal. So I had to buy him, figured it was only a matter of time before he made the wrong move.. so now hes residing in my 10gallon with 3 young guppies (will possibly be rehouses eventually) so far doesnt seem to care much for them. Swam around with them a few times, and now keeps to himself. Anyhow, here he/she is. By the way, I named him Pepper.

cool, welcome to the wonderful world of puffers

btw
It would have been the wrong move on the bircher

puffers are poisonous and well if a bircher were to eat it, it would die rather quickly

I was at a pet store and they had some juvie DP's with pictus catfish, lets just say the they lost a few cats until the learned

Aww, what a cutie! You gotta love dwarf puffers
I have two of them that (very surprisingly) live peacefully in a 5 gallon together. I assume they were spawn siblings and this is why they get along so well, I was just lucky. One of them is sadly going blind, though.

Anyway, captive-bred puffers are only very slightly toxic, or even completely non-toxic, because their toxins are derived from the foods they eat... just fyi :)
