Definitely a blue ram female. Has pale colours atm, so does look slightly bolivian.
Hope the fish gets on ok. If it lasts a couple of weeks, it should be ok. I was scared off GBRs because they're notoriously flakey and hard to keep alive
Not sure what flakey means. But they are sensitive to water conditions. I don't know exactly but you can research it, they do best in higher temperatures, soft water, and very low nitrates like a discus. I don't think that means flakey, they are sensitive and it is up to us to make sure we can provide for them.
Also, give the fish a week to settle in, It is no doubt stressed and will look and behave differently until it settles in. What are its tank mates?
well ive had a eye on it for like 3 weeks in my LFS now and they have similar if not worse water conditions as me... i made them do a water test and there results wer as follows
PH-7.8
ammonia-0.25ppm
nitrite-0ppm
nitrate-40ppm
compared with my water test which ive just done :
PH 7.4
ammonia-0ppm
nitrite-0ppm
nitrate-10-20ppm
so im hoping with the care and attention i pay my tank i can keep her alive and bring out her colours more
edit: forgot to add the temp i keep my tank at is usuall 26-27 degs or 79 fahrenheit
tankmates are as follows: 8 cardinal tetras,5 honey gourami,6 panda corys,3 amano shrimp
also im overfiltered and have a 5x waterturnover rate
Latest video theres the latest video although im pretty much going with every1s female shout now
From what I've heard, the quality of a lot of rams on sale is poor due to the way they are bred and raised in fish farms. This means you can get a ram, give it ideal conditions and it still dies within a couple of weeks. Getting it past that point probably means it is strong and healthy enough to survive longer.
That's what I mean by flakey. And that's why I went for Bolivians which despite being less colourful are still very pretty fish and entertaining.
