My New Betta!

Hey guys, I just got my (first) betta!! He's very pretty! I'm not sure what to name him so please give me ideas. He sometimes just sits on the bottom. He did that for a few hours! Is that normal?

Congrats on your stunning new addition! One of my boys likes to lie on the bottom of the tank sometimes,- he's just resting.

I have a name theme going with my bettas. The first betta tank I set up has a blue police box ornament in it as we are big Dr Who fans! My betta boy spends so much time in and out of his tardis so we named him The Doctor! Subsequently all other bettas are named after Dr Who characters!

Choosing a name is half the fun of it! I hope you find a great name for your new boy too. He looks like a Flame to me!

How about Chilli? Then if you ever wanted to go with a theme for fighter names you could give them all different chilli names like jalapeno, birds eye, etc. Because you can even get purple and black chilli's so they don't all have to be red.

Mine used to sit at the bottom also then I got some silk hanging ivy with a suction cup and suctioned it at the top of the tank. He loves it and sleeps there, rest there, and retreats there, just cuddled up in the leaves. I noticed you have a Roman type pillar in your tank...how about roman leaders (like Cesar)

That's exactly what I thought! I saw him and the name immediately came to mind

Awww I love the name Chilly Sorry but I'm going to have to pinch that name. I have a lot of red frys to put names to and so far that is my favorite. How about rubicund if you are still deciding. Bev.
