Hello, this is my first post. I have two Bettas right now, Dumbledore (yes, haha, I like Harry Potter) and Paro.
I've had Dumbledore for about a month and a half and he is fantastic. He is a veil tail, mostly red with some shimmery blue on his body. He lives in a 10 gallon and I do clicker training with him. Here's a link to a video of what I'm doing with him...he's really come out of his shell with the training.

Paro (named for the city in Bhutan) came to me yesterday. A friend told me she saw a gorgeous crowntail at a LFS that I don't normally go to as it's further away from me than I like to go. I decided to go see him as I've had a new tank (5.5 gallons) cycling for 3 weeks and it had just finished a few days ago. Thankfully he was still there, next to another crowntail and a female VT. The other bettas looked a little sad, but I decided to go ahead and pay my $4 and take him home. His body is a very pale green and that color extends about a 1/3 of the way into his fins and then the rest of his fin is red. His fins are great. Dumbledores fins were pretty ragged when I first brought him home, but this guy was pristine.
Anyway, is there a specific name for this type of coloration? I've been googling betta colors, but I haven't seen a similar looking fish.
I have the hardest time taking pictures of my fish, and have practiced a lot and fiddled with the manual settings on my digicam, but I cannot get a good picture. Here are my attempts:
Here he is getting used to the tank temperature...I cheated with this step of putting him in the tank because he was bashing himself on the walls of his cup
Thanks
