I've always liked the look of these but they get to the sort of size where I wouldn't be able to stop myself thinking about eating it

they look great.
i'm looking to get me some soon. i REALLY like the idea of shrimps dominating the lower level of the tank, but my angels and rainbows dont give my ghost shrimp or red cherry shrimp a chance, so they're always hiding...and these guys i think will be big enough that my fish will leave them alone!

did you get a pair? is it better to get 2 (male + female?) or 3 (to avoid aggression?)

i didn't get a pair and they're not aggressive at all they are extremly peaceful shrimp

I have 3 of these, although they were sold to me as mountain rock shrimp  They were very elusive to start with, so much so I thought they had climbed out the tank because I didnt see them for weeks, but now, they are out often, they look monsterous  but are very peaceful, just sifting thru the water to collect food.
