Well then i guess as i have just purchased them during transportation fish ware stressed (not to mention your avatar has discus with stripes lol) My tank- PH: 7.2, Water changes 2ce a week, Temp: 28* C, Food: Discus Frozen food and live brine shrimps only, some times blood worms. As i know that they need slightly acidic between 5.5 and 6.5 but was told that they will addapt to to my ph no problem. The GH is about 6-7 Degrees so i guess i dont have to get Reverse Osmosis filter for RO Water as its needed only if your GH8 and Higher.The black stripes are called stress bars. Discus are fish with special needs and should really be researched before being purchased. You should really start doing some reading about them ASAP, you will find you've already made some mistakes.
