I really want to get fish, but they always seem to die on me. I had 5 danios in that tank before but within four days, all of them died. Ammonia was .25 ppm, and nitrite was 0 ppm. I had taken good care of them by letting the tank run for a week before they were in there. But they always just seemed to die, without symptoms. They would all be well when I went to school at 7am, then when I got home at 3pm, two danios had already died.

Are you sure the turtle's not to blame for the fish deaths?

I've never heard of any tanks with turtles and fish together that had happy endings....

when I set up a 29 I got 5 zebra danios and 5 gold danios. within a week the zebra's were all dead. the golds are all still alive after three months and a brutal cycle. could've just been bad stock but i'd bet on the turtle eating yours.
