my neons have itch they are in the fry tank and im treating it but i was wondering wether they will infect the fry too

and could this be the cause that some are not schooling?

My neons dont school anymore either. I was told that was good because they feel safe now and dont need to school. THey usually school if they feel threatened.

And yes, it will infect the fry too. Dont forget to add aeration, and good luck treating your tank.

First of all... I guess so - If it can affect adults then it most likely and probably will affect the fry.

Secondly - They don't always school, if their comfortable with their envirnoment then there's no need for them to school so they tend not to - unless they get frightened by water changes or something similar.

They could well do. The Ich will be in the water so you'll need to continue treating the whole tank. Better check with someone if the treatment you're using is safe for your fry.

Neons tend to school only losely when they're in small groups if at all. Plus the smaller the tank the less they school. I have 10 in a 109l - sometimes they school properly, othertimes losely and sometimes not at all. I reckon it's a mood thing!
