I have now move little Aqua 620 into dining room, and put dechlorinated water into my new Rio 400. It is all set up and I am just patiently waiting for the cycle to go through now. Adding Stability daily.
I did not escape the move without consequences, one tetra died. I am so sad. :-(
I also had a lot of trouble catching the silver sharks and the Loaches to the extent one Bala has one scale missing. :*) . He is happy enough but I have been using Myxasin the med they gave to me at shop and hopefully he'll be okay.
I am dreading the big move again.:/

Does anyone know of a firm that will catch and move your fish in Herts for you ? -_-

Also what fish will I put in to start with some say the Bala sharks as they need room first but how long do I need to wait for the Gibicepts red ? until I get algae?
There is so many questions! Sorryand Thanks in advance.

oof, sympathy, sounds very stressfull! re; adding the fish, assuming you're cyclng the Rio 400 fishlessly, I'd be inclined to add all at once, except the gibbiceps which I'd add once you've enough algae. However, I know nothing much about them, so if someone wants to contradict me, please go for it!

Hi, I sypmathise entirely. I dislike catching fish too, especially my 11" Common Pleco! I have just moved all my fish, or more accurately my husband did. I have thought along your lines too and I have just looked on Google and found nothing. The only thing I can suggest is to ask at lfs or place an advert in your local newspaper. I know most people will think we are wimps but you can't help how you are. Good luck. :) I put my Common in the new tank when there was no visible algae. As long as he has an algae wafer (which he would need anyway) he should be OK.

Thanks I was lucky as he hides in a shipwreck so i netted that first knowing hewould go lower as I removed it and scooped up the net. The bala's and the clown loaches, I depair and its sad one tetra died. Good your husband cares mine will sort electric and pumps out but not fish.

He isn't interested in the fish and just about tolerates a 4ft tank in the lounge. He helps because it is easier than listening to me complaining. Loudly and for a long time. Are you going to ask at lfs or advertise in local paper? They seem like the best options.

I might just watch the bubbles and sell the fish lol. I guess I will get a bit excited again and try. I have to wait a few weeks as I like to ensure good water.

Hi there Tetraqueen I have PM'd you with s few ideas and a possible contact....The office I worked in had a big aquarium and when we moved the guy used 2 nets one to "herd" and one to catch and it worked a treat...even on a grumpy catfish
