Not sure its obesity, but you could be right that its morbid! Looks more like a very late stage of internal parasites, that could see it explode and pass them round. There are a few other illnesses where a swollen abdomen is a giveaway, may be better posting the pic in the "Tropical Fish Emergencies" section for better help and advice.

That's a Neon with a swim bladder problem. Notice how it is fighting to stay down in the water. That indicates too much gas in the swim bladder, along with the bloated appearance.

either that or you put too much food in, they will eat till they pop, mine wer the same, stop feeding for a day or 2 and see if there any change

she has been like this for several months. im not sure if anything is wrong with her. she is always first and last to get all of the food. when i used to feed worms she would eat so many that they would be sticking out of her mouth as she swam around afterwards. she can swim good too for the most part and is a bully amongst neons.

i dont overfeed either. all of the other fish are a typical weight.
