I have had 5 mollies in my tank for about a month now (2m 3f). I have not had one fry yet!. I've got no idea what is wrong with them...........did I buy duds?!
do u know for sure that u dont just gpt all males or all females? it could be that the water conditions juts arnt right, add some salt if u haven't alredy dont so and take a ph and ammonia nitrate test. if all checks out then try raisingthe tempreture up to 80F if that dont do it im afraid ur juts gunna hafta buy s few more and c what happens
I've never seen them mate.
and as for the fry eaters, I should still see 1 or 2 i guess (I assume the fry eaters are the gouramis?)
I have 1 male white molly, 1m 1f dalmation molly and 1 f marble molly (i think that's what it's called?)
I noticed a bit of flicking and a few spots on monday & started treatment straight away, tomorrow will be my last dosage.
The corry's are doing fine I think, a bit quieter recently, but they liven up at feeding time - are they usually sensitive to meds?
As for the nitrItea - u think I do a water change tonigh and do another dosage on tuesday or u think I should just give them the last dosage tomorrow and change 50% of the water on Monday ?
Do you have any other tanks if you do after they are cleared up put the males in there for a week and then put back with the females if they don't mate then you got a prob.
Ever heared time apart is good for the hearth. I have a BB molly that I have to jump start this way. But all the rest of my mollies seam to just go for it. I got one sailfin molly male that is not real into it like the other one. Some fish just don't mate but as many as you got you should be getting something unless they are to young or old.
