just sat at the pc ,the tank is next to it ,a nd noticed the siamese fighting fish snuggled up to something, it was my black mollie and shes dead, she was in a tank with platy ,sff, angels and 2 more dalmation mollies, the tank has gone a bit cloudy and there is food floating everywhere, but ive checked the filter and its working, i dont have a test kit i ran out and ment to get one yesteday but was stuck at home all day waiting for a delivery.she didnt have any marks on her,and her mouth was wide open, the only thing i have noticed is that the dalmation pair are now swimming about side by side m/f where they didnt before.
i will do a water change wneh the sun comes up, but i have new fish arriving today for this tank, so sods law something would go wrong, the filter was setup using mature media from another tank, and hasnt been there a week yet( last fri) there is a huge airstone in there and constant movement on the surface, the only thing i have done in the last few days is add water lettuce, which covers maybe 1, 8th of the surface ( been in 2 days) so any ideas, i know it s abit hard with no test results, but ill wait for the fish to arrive today then nip and get one,or if my sons not got an exam ill send him,
ps, why do fish die in the night time??
