My most memorable experience of fish is when I keep 3 different species in the same 10 gallon tank. It may be overcrowded, but I was a beginner at the time. What's your memorable experience when it comes to fishes?

What keeps me in the hobby is so many things they do are memorable.

Some of their breeding or broodcare behaviour.

Seeing the colours of wild killies in the sunlight.

When carefully set up breeding projects finally worked...

Long conversations with Cichlids about the meaning of life.

Okay, I made the last one up.

no you didn't

The fish have never talked back. They are polite that way. For aquatic creatures, they are very grounded. They never interrupt, make bad puns or spout conspiracy theories.

But all conversations so far have been one sided.

burying them after I killed them all in 2006 :(
I am sorry for your loss. Are you okay @Colin_T? You seem sad. Today, I had to bury my dwarf gourami after he died. I hope the other 12 fish don't follow suit... Was it 2006 or 2016? If it was 2006, it was the year that I was born in. If it was in 2016, I would have been 9-10 years old.
