about a month ago I rescued a little tatty pink/blue boy from pets@Home (he was in with barbs and black widow tetras) His fins are awful, but are slowly healing. There was a major emergency at the weekend regarding my 'in laws' as one of their little corys has fungus, and they have no hospital tank, so I took my little boy out and gave it to them to use. I ummed and ahhed and in the end I decided that rather than put Zephyr back in the community (even in a breeding trap) it wouldn't be such a great idea as he was in the middle of treatment.
To cut a long story short I put him in the little plastic tank I use to put them in during water changes and set about doing 3x daily water changes (our flat is boiling so the water is at about 25 c. I did his morning one yesterday, then when I got back in from work I took the lid off to get him out to do a water change and he'd only gone and built a huge bubble nest! Bless him, he must be happy in there, it covered half the tank!
will post pictures later- you can see where his fins are healing nicely I'm really pleased with his progress.
