I may clean water sports off my tank soon and take some pictures.

so far, I'm loving these guys. They've killed most every snail in my 25 gallon and are enjoyable to watch and feed. They even attack my finger.

The bad part will be, soon it will come time to trim their beaks I'd assume.....

How shall I go about this without them blowing up on me?

Keep the feeding up with snails, cockle in shell and other shelled foods and you may get away with holding it off for a little longer
I do personally like puffers, great fish
