I was wondering if Zen is a feather tail or a Rose tail, I also took picture of his neighbor! who is completely opposite by nature Zen is so calm and easy going where as next door is a flaring machine with anger problems! first picture is Zen

Its hard to tell unless the tail is in full flare as a good RT will look like a FT when relaxed.

He looks more FT to me. There are varying degrees of FTs plus it's usual for their caudals to be shorter than the dorsal and anal fins, which his is.
