also can anyone identify the grass? the crabs love to eat it! they gert a pice in there smaller claws,the ones they use for eating, and holdit in there mouth.. makes me think of a farmer on his porch with a pece of wheatgrass hanging out of his mouth... also all the plants are live and all the rocks have been colected by my fammily and in oregon..... the fliter and air lines are up high so the crabs cant climb on them, there little ninjas , and escape.

Cute little crab! Won't he eat the fishies, though? (I don't know much about 'em, so maybe they don't like fish, I dunno.) Nice tank...I love live plants!

i use a small LED as a moon light (soon to be a coldcathode) and i watched the crabs for about 3 days to see if theres any sine of aggresiveness to the fish... the crabs seem to duke it out once and a while but i use alot of decoration to help reduce the line of sight (if they dont see eachother they dont fight eachother) and i woldnt sugest more than 2 crabs per 10gallons. i have done alot of reading on these cabs and most ppl say they are only aggresive twords there own kind..... and i can say from my observations this is most likely true.

It's hair grass, like the plants the left in the foreground in my sig. Very nice plant, but you got to take care that debris and trash doesn't get stuck in it or else photosynthesis is hindered and it dies back. If you're just going to keep yours in a pot I'd love it.

the pot somewhat hinders the constant nibblig from the red claws. is it not good for the grass to be in a pot? when i get my 55g (soon hopfuly) i can transplant.. also i haveto add if you look in the last pic i posted at the left corner just a bit right of the airstone you can see my other redclaw in the plants almost to the top... he sleeps there...

TYVM but not 2 hours ago i swaped out backgrounds ( but not bush cuz he keeps the fish in line).. i just use record sleves.. seem to be just the right size also did some rearanging so ill get mor pics soon

I just been looking through the fish pix, and found this post, have to say just how AMAZING the tank looks, its a really goood idea to have the plants all potted in those small pots, i love it! uve really given me sum great ideas!

LOL abt the vcrab with the grass that reminds you of a farmer and some wheat! lol

im surprised you manage to keep the crab in with the gu[pys, but i guess if their all friendly it helps.

Great tank! i know the post is old, but i think this should have been nominated tank of the month!!

your fish are in danger with the crabs, i keep 4 crbas in a 10 gallons with platty fry for food.

i have a moss ball in my tank which the crabs nibble on.
