My Latest Tank

Not been on for a while have also been busy sorting the new tank it's a 6x2x2 opti white front glass and sumped with 2 x durso feed in weirs at either end to sump and 2 x return.

Here is some pictures excuse the quality

The tank

One end of sump
2 x ehime 3000 pumps as return
pellet reactor
Skimmer for fusion of ozone into water.

In the centre chamber where pellet reactor is there is bio rings and 2 x Fluval E300 heaters

In the first end where the main tank syphons to there is

K1 media under a coarse,medium, fine foam followed by a polishing pad on top under media grid

Here is the ozone system and pre air dryer

I'm still waiting for a fluid reactor to arrive to be able to run purigen.

10 x clown loach
4 x dwarf Gourami
3 x angel fish
5 x Buenos Airs tetra
2 x Brisle nose plecs
4 x penguin fish
2 x panda cory
2 x corydorus schwartzi
4 x yoyo loach
5 x sword tails ( inherited )
2 x mollies ( inherited )

They all get on well and often see the corys,clown loach,yoyo playing up and down.the tank very therapeutic to watch.

I was advised my filtration and size of tank is more then ample for the stock if it gets crowded as they grow I can always move some to family members tanks.

How big is your sump? Looks pretty roomy haha

The sump is 4ft x 18" x 17" so plenty of water in there

The angels and Gourami get on perfectly fine I've not seen any issues at all

A little update I forgot to update this thread with work as it was done please note the silicone did cure before adding the media it's just I've had to put a couple of posts together to update this

I bypassed the first chamber so I could drain it and still keep the tank running.

With it all dry it was time to mock up and check everything.

The media grid will be strait once complete

All mocked up and time to seal my measurements where spot on and a nice fit like it grew there so no need for side supports while curing.

Added 10 kilo of biohome maxi ultimate washed it off in old tank water and got it into the spare chamber in the sump.

Next is to add some shelves in right hand side to support media grid ill do that after tea and all my foams will sit ontop of that, polishing , coarse , medium, fine

In the new chamber I have made to the left this will be filled with biohome ultra that way the water will now run right up through all the media giving good contact and flow over it I have got to add a piece of media grid to the bottom of that chamber to stop the biohome going into chamber on right ill just bond it in.

Shelves are in ignore the pipe under them this is simply to set the height they will be removed once they have set

Media grid added between chambers so biohome don't roll into first chamber

All filters in place here is some pics hopefully particle filtration will be spot on now

I decided to leave the tubes under the glass to add support they are tidy and its all working as it should just need to add biohome media to left hand chamber then it's sorted.

All the fake plants have been removed and I now have real plants in the tank

It's starting to come together now.
