I picked this up for an absolute bargain, it came with all the nick nacks needed for fish keeping plus some extra, fantastic unused filter and heater and a really big airpump. Only draw back was it didn't come with lids, still for $100 it was a steal.

I bought it for one of my spoilt brat goldies, Onyx was one of my first fish, and 6 months ago I bought him a 55g tub, huge filter and of course a friend, cost me $150 all up when I'd bought all the accessories. It worked wonderfully for a couple of months at least then the stupid thing started leaching god knows what into the water. I've been treating Onyx for months now, he turned entirely white he was so covered in fungus, lost his tail and fins, stopped eating, I managed to bring him back, and got kinda attached, so my spoilt brat now gets a 55g tank to call his own. I haven't the faintest idea of what I want to add, but am thinking of maybe cories and white mountain clouds, since the temps set at 22 degrees.

The stands pretty crummy, but I'm going to get some fabric and cover it all up

Onyx, ignore the white on his tail, its regrowth from when he lost his tail, I think the stress of everything faded the colour

I have heard White Cloud Minnows do great in colder environments. Keep in mind though, that your goldfish will get bigger, and what can fit into his mouth, he will most likely eat.

Onyx is stunted, he wont be getting bigger.

I'm not sure why he is, as I've tried him in large tanks, and he's never been in anything under 40g, but he hasn't grown a cm since I bought him a year ago.

I've still got a few pond fish wintering inside, so just for the heck of it, I've added one to Onyx's tank LOL, at least he'll ahve company, I'm aware Opal is a shubbie and will outgrow the tank, she'll only be in there for a few weeks, before the weather warms up enough for my younger pond fish to go back outside, they were only kept inside this winter because they were very young and I wanted to make sure they all survived their first winter.

The tank, I covered up the stand and added a background

Not so sure about the purple material :/ Are you any good at DIY? New doors would look 100 times better :good:

Yeah it looks a bit like a magic trick now

Any way well done for keeping a good size tank for your goldies :good:

Nope, well I can do DIY just fin, but it involves begging my Dad for tools, and since its a screaming match everytime I talk to him....

I quite like the purple velvet, am gonna get some deccys for the tank to make it into a fairy/enchanted castle sorta theme. LOL I've got my natural tanks, wanna try fake now.
