there fine in comm tanks...years ago i had 3........when i gave up trop to go to spain i emptied tank etc.....when i returned to set up again tank had been in sisters garden full of rain in january.....when i emptied it found a colli swimmin around,,,,,,,,,,,,,ohhhhhh

They are very shy. you won't see them much only later evening. they come out when the lights got out. But the younger ones tend to come out of a day time. I've got 4 alltogether and their a nice addition to mycommunity tank.
