Nice Fish. For some reason I like albino koi swords and my big red eye red lyertail sword (that is a mouthful). I don't like any other livebearers though. I bought a trio off of aquabid, but they didn't do too good . Lost 1 male and 1 female, I do have 5 fry from them though . Are your aggressive towards each other at all? Mine where really aggressive, right now my koi and red are separated from each other. They are both females. I'm afraid I will lose them if I try to keep them together.

To be honest m8, i wont mix these with any other swrods as i want the fry to saty the same type as thier parents.

It took me ages to get the colours really good, ie. the orange really bright.

Like my tiger platys, i keep them seperate to so they stay the same type, i dont like to mix nice fish like this as they are hard to get unique.

Yes I normally wouldn't mix these with other swords. I agree they are unique, but my red sword is just as unique. I wanted to try and cross them to see what I would get, but I lost my male before I was able to do that . I was planning on keeping her fry separate from the others, so I know what is pure and what is not. I never expected to get so much aggression from these fish. I'm pretty sure that is why I lost some of them. I'm debating right now weather to keep trying to breed them or to separate them up and just use them as center piece fish.

Try putting just 1 or 2 koi swords in with em, maybe, 2 koi's with 1 male red and 2 female red so thats 4 to 1, gives the male plenty of selection lol.

Never had any aggresive swords persoanlly, mine are real peaceful

I had 1 male to 4 females, LOL! The tank was a battle field, It was the females that where causing the problems.
