Good evening!

I used to keep fancy goldfish and then tropical fish in the mid 1970's to early 1980's, but dismantled & sold my last tank in 1982 because of an impending house move. Never quite got round to fishkeeping again until after taking early retirement in December 2010 -  treated myself to a 4 ft. Juwel set-up as my retirement present to myself

.

The 4 ft tank is currently dismantled and is sitting empty because we've got our house up for sale  and are hoping to be moving in the next few months. Remaining fish are currently decanted into a 2 ft. tank which is going to be easier to lift and shift to my new abode.

I currently have:-

5 x sterba's corydoras
3 x dwarf chain loaches
breeding pair of common ancistrus catfish
3 x black neon's
1 x neon tetra
3 x pearl gourami (2 males and a female)
numerous ancistrus babies!

Fishkeeping is a great way to relax; it's a great stress-buster

to TFF! Hope you enjoy it here.

Do you have any pics of when the 4ft was up? Or any of the current 2ft?

I have a photo of the 4 ft. tank, taken about eighteen months ago and with quite a lush plant growth, but how do I download it onto this forum? Don't have any of the small tank, unfortunately.

You can go to the bottom and click 'More Reply Options' and then attach files at the bottom there. Or you can upload pics to a photo sharing website such as photo bucket and link them here :)

My 4 ft. tank, taken July 2012. Don't have any of the 2 ft. tank.

That looks quite lovely! When you set it up again will it have a similar look you think?

I'm thinking of something on the lines of a South American theme - eventually. I have common ancistrus catfish and sterba's corydoras, a few tetra's but looking to add more of the same, just need possibly some sort of cichlid perhaps to finish the tank off.

Not quite sure what cichlid would suit my set-up best, but I'm going to have fun reading up and doing research as to what would be best.
