I have a dalmation Molly and a platy fish and they both have ick really bad I treated them for 3 days and I did a 50 percent water change the platy has died and now the Molly is laying on her side. her fins are all tucked in and she looks like she's about to die is well. it doesn't seem to be clearing up at all am I doing something wrong. I just added a female platy to this tank and she seems fine.

Have you been using a chemical to treat?

Yes i used a ick tablet. Only half since its a five gallon tank. I also did a 25 percent water change

I just tried to feed the platy which is doing fine.but the dLmTion molly tried to swim to eat but fell back to bottom belly up.couldnt swim up.

Are you sure it's ich?

A five-gallon tank is much, much too small to be raising anything but shrimp. Please don't get any more fish until you get a bigger tank and cycle it properly.

The female platy you just added will likely contract the ich as well.

Glad you've joined us on the forum. Sorry about your troubles.

I do have a 20 gallon tank.we just got it and were gonna transfer the fish but didnt want to until they got better

Well that's good news. You should probably start your fishless cycle in the 20 gallon now, so in a few weeks you can start over. Unfortunately I don't think your current fish will make it.
